ABOUT
The Projectors are an indie rock band based out of Victoria, BC, consisting of Dylan Rysstad (vocals), Dustin Tiljoe (guitar), Connor Tanton (guitar), Conor Brandt (bass), and Evan Matthiesen (drums).
Drawing on influences from the early "aught rock" scene (e.g., The Strokes, The Walkmen), The Projectors have a familiar yet modern and unique sound. The Strokes influence can be heard on tracks like "Golden Age" which has garnered considerable local attention and The Zone 91.3's "Band of the Month" for January 2023. In the years following, the band has shared stages with Daniel Romano, The Dirty Nil, The Zolas, Art d'Ecco, Jenny Don't & The Spurs, Prism, and Dead Soft.
While Dylan's other projects (The Jolts, Isotopes, Mandelbaums, Global Fake) and past releases have their purpose and place, his songwriting, sound, and vision, have never clicked quite as well as it does here with The Projectors.
